Playing Philosophy
The essence of Art's playing is the less is more philosophy. Art places every single note with intention. From the softest note to the loudest rumble, he always plays the groove. Whether it's R&B, rock, country or jazz, it is his goal to play exactly what fits every musical situation.

Live Playing 
In a live situation, Art is an energetic player that excites the audience. But, even through the energy he is still able to consistantly lock down the tempo and the pocket. He is very comfortable playing to a click or a sequence. Most people, whether in the audience or on stage, feed off the drummers "energy", he realizes this and tries to be a source of live inspiration.

Studio Playing
In the studio. Art's main purpose is to give the producer exactly what he or she is looking for. When ideas are needed, he is an excellent voice of reason. He makes suggestions and tries to be a "well" of ideas for the producer. On the technical side, he's very comfortable with the click and puts the hottest signal to tape without sacrificing the groove.

Work Ethic
Whether there's 10,000 in the audience or 75, a demo project or a national release. Art tries to put the same amount of passion and drive into every performance. Art goes by three rules. Be on time, give 100% and always have a positive attitude.
